Phantom: Give and Take.
From what I can recall, I am not sure just how reliable my review is because I saw the event over a month ago, and I had possibly quite the worst seats in the house. The set was commendable and the orchestra beautiful. It was one of the best vocal performances I have ever scene on stage. The man who played the Phantom was truly amazing. The overall performance was good. The major problem I had with the performance was Christine Daae. Given she could hit the high notes incredibly, but that is merely part of the character, nothing special about the vocalist. I would recommend this with hesitancy, but it'd be a good idea to go with the cheap seats.
Liquid Stranger and Lucky Date did a solid job with the opening acts. They came on an hour after the doors opened, with no delays between acts. The stage setup light effects were so bright that people had to hide their eyes to see it. The songs were distorted by the overwhelming shift to amplified levels of bass, making them almost unrecognizable. The sound was the worst part - the bass was so loud that it made your entire body quiver, from your hair to your heart. It was an unpleasant experience between not being able to see the set, hear the songs, and feeling like your body was about to rupture from the sound waves ripping through it. Disney On Ice was horrible. Me, my friends, and about 40 other people fled the arena within the first five minutes.
